My neighbor Ed came over and asked if I would like to walk to the park with him. Ed is such a nice guy. He is every woman's dream man. He even invites me over for dinner from time to time. "How about some downers? I have some Valium if you want them?" He said running up next to me.

"No, I don't want any pills." I said trying to get away form him.

"How about some pot? I have some pot if you want it." He said while following me.

"I don't want to buy any pot from you!" I said as I started to walk faster.

"How about some cocaine? You look like a cocaine party chic to me." The man said while trying to keep up.

"No, I don't want to buy any cocaine." I said trying to get away from him.

"Come on, you know I have something you want. You name it and if I don't have it, I can get it for you." He said while walking behind me.

"Please leave me alone!" I said.

"Come on, just a little weed?" The man begged.

"Listen pal, she doesn't want anything you have for sale." Ed yelled.

I was surprised that Ed was so forceful with the man. Ed is such a sweet and gentle man. I could have never imagined him yelling.

"How do you know what she wants?" The drug dealer asked.

"How many times does she have to tell you no?" Ed asked.

"How about you mind your own fucking business." The guy said as he walked closer to me.

"I'll give you some for free honey. If you want more, you know where to get it." The drug dealer said as he went through his pockets.

"No thank you. I don't want anything from you." I said backing away.

"Listen to me. If you don't get the fuck out of here, you will wish you did." Ed said to the man.

I could tell that Ed was very pissed off. His face was red and his whole body was shaking.

"What will happen if I don't?" The drug dealer asked as he got closer to me.

"Here you go sweetheart. Take these pills for free." The man said as he reached out his hand.

Ed leaned in and punched him right on the chin. This man must have had an iron chin, because he just stood there dazed. Then, Ed punched him in the stomach, which knocked him to the ground.

"That is what will happen if you don't." Ed said looking down at him.

"Hey man, I just wanted to give her something." The drug dealer said.

"She told you she didn't want anything you have for sale." Ed said after he kicked him in the ribs.

"What's going on here?" A voice darted out.

"Officer, this man was trying to sell drugs to my friend. He kept begging her to buy drugs off of him." Ed said looking at the police officer.

"Is this true Ma'm?" The officer asked.

"Yes it is. He kept saying he had all of these drugs on him. When I said I didn't want any, he then offered to give me some for free." I said nervously.

"Do the two of you use drugs?" The officer asked us.

We both told him that we didn't use drugs. I told the officer that I have never even smoked a cigarette in my life. I have no need for such things.

"Do you have drugs on you?" The police officer asked the man.

"That guy beat me up!" The drug dealer stated.

"I don't care about that, I want to know if you have any drugs on you." The officer said.

The man didn't say a word. The officer went and handcuffed him. Shortly after, the officer searched through his pockets. His pockets were filled with pills and drugs. There had to be thousands of dollars worth of stuff.

"You two can go. I don't think you will be seeing him selling drugs around here anymore. He has enough stuff on him to get at least 20 years in prison." The officer said.

"I'm glad to see the bastard off the streets." Ed said as he motioned for me to walk with him.

"That was something else." Ed said as we walked away.

"You sure kicked that guy's ass!" I said while patting Ed on the back.

"I was a boxer in the Army. I was good too." Ed said.

"I'm sure you were. You really did a number on that guy." I said.

"He had it coming to him. What an asshole that guy was!" Ed said.

"He sure was an asshole. I'm glad I have a friend like you." I said putting my arm around Ed.

Ed seemed kind of nervous when I touched him. I didn't know if he was still pumped up from the fight, or maybe something was wrong.

"Is it okay that I put my arm around you?" I asked.

"Yeah, sure." Ed said.

I knew something was wrong. I didn't know what, but I needed to find out. I hate being in situations like this. I hate not knowing what is wrong.
